We know the importance of the first cup of coffee in the morning. Unfortunately, as good of a job as it does waking you up, it also does staining your teeth. So, we wanted to share a few tips for you to enjoy that your favorite brew and limit the impact it has on your teeth:
- Sip through a straw
If you enjoy iced coffee, consider sipping through a straw. Hot coffee may not be as easy to drink through a straw, but it is possible, especially if you use a stainless steel metal straw.
- Drink it fast.
Nursing a cup of coffee over several hours will expose your teeth to more coffee stains. Instead, drink it quickly!
- Rinse your mouth after.
After you’re done with your coffee, rinse out your mouth with water. Brushing your teeth is always ideal, but wait at least 30 minutes before you do. Otherwise, you risk staining your teeth.
